About authenticity, writing, and long-term

For those who have been reading me for a long time, one of my favorite sections was “Unwired Ideas”. This section consisted of writing a list of ideas that have no connection, straight from my head, which is something I truly enjoy. I have been eager to write something like that again, so here I am.

• When it comes to deciding how you want to live your life, if you start listening to everyone, you’ll become someone you don’t want to be. To be true to yourself, you shouldn’t listen to anyone but yourself.
• If you’re feeling lost, that’s completely normal. It’s a part of the human condition. That’s why it’s more beneficial to focus on the journey, or what you’re doing in the present, rather than obsessing over the destination. After all, you may never actually reach your intended destination, or it may change along the way.
• AI is not going to kill your job. The person who can handle AI most easily will. And that means knowing how to write specifically what you want. So, learn to write. Learn to think clearly. It’s the only way.
• No one values a human for being able to do everything perfectly. They value humans who, despite facing the same struggles as others, are capable of doing extraordinary things. Being perfect at something, like AI is, is boring as fuck.
• Productivity is merely an invention created by those who sell related products. There is no greater productivity than completing your work in the shortest time possible and using the remaining time for activities such as thinking, reading, walking, playing sports, spending time with family or friends, and doing other things that rejuvenate you. Nobody is happy sitting in an office for 16 hours a day, regardless of how much they enjoy their job.
• The person who claims to have gained 1,000 subscribers in 6 months and sells a course on it is not the right person to follow. Instead, you should follow someone who has successfully retained subscribers for 20 years. This person likely won’t try to sell you anything because they don’t need to.
• The best tech ever invented is pen and paper. 100% battery every time. No updates. No notifications. Just a blank page in front of you, with all the freedom for your mind to play with.
• Thinking that the pharmaceutical industry looks after our health is like believing that the arms industry fights for peace.

Today’s recommendations

• Eps 25. Shot on iPhone 15 Pro - Japan No Omoide 2024. I have the idea of starting to create content on YouTube soon and would like to use the iPhone for it. This video, in addition to being well-recorded, demonstrates the potential we have in our pockets. It uses a Sandmarc lens as a companion.
• This weekend, I have spent a few days in Madrid and have collected some places that I really liked.
• Human creativity in the age of text generators. “If anything, today’s text generators are more similar to the generations of bumbling male scholars who were happy to take credit for the work of their brilliant female peers. Except that text generators don’t even have the redeeming feature (if we can call it that) of being capable of original thought.”

As I mentioned before, my idea is to create a popup newsletter centered around nature sounds. I have gathered a collection of videos that I have recorded over the years, amounting to 63 videos. From this collection, I will select 30 videos for the newsletter, which will run for a duration of one month.

I am not certain if I will be able to prepare it in time for October, but I will inform you when I do. Currently, I am pleased with the videos I have and with the outcome of the landing page, where you will be able to view all the videos once the month is over.
